August Income Will be Donated to Charity

On this Thursday, I was sitting in a restaurant and noticed over in the far corner there was a lady who seemed to just basically be talking to as many people as possible. It turns out her job was to simply to gather donations from people dining for the purpose of Cancer Research. Needless to say, she enticed me over and the result was me donating £15 per month from my income to Cancer Research. Not a great amount of money, but I would have felt bad to have given nothing, and I’m sure my contribution may make a difference to somebody…right?

August Profit Will be Donated to Charity
This brings me on to my next point. The event at the restaurant really got me thinking - with me at the helm of HostedFX I’m in a postion to make quite a substantial contribution to any charity. By donating August’s income to charity, I will effectively be placing several thousand dollars into the hands of one (or several) charities.

So it’s decided. I’m going to foot the cost of our servers out of my own pocket for August, and donate all of the HostedFX income to the chosen charities.

Simply post a comment to this blog post recommending a charity that you would like to see the money go to, and I’ll make it happen.

Thank you for your time,
Gareth Hodson

I’d just like to say this is one of the many acts that sets hostedfx apart from the ‘rest’. Doing this not only announces to the world that you care but also that you’re willing to donate your own for the benefit of others.

I congratulate you on this Gareth, as it, it self is a worthy effort.

I’ll personally be happy with any charity so long as it does indeed reach them and is used properly in a genuine sense.

    Good work Gareth!

Great Idea Gareth :) I suggest you donate it to Chestnut Tree House - http://www.chestnut-tree-house.org.uk/

    They look after sick children.

Cancer Research, but also try looking into a charity for kids around the world, cause after all kids are the future?

Its good to see you doing something like this.
